In 1962, A grade smashed 5-367 on the first day and had University one down by stumps. The innings was anchored by D LANG’s (#138) 128, which included a mammoth 197 run partnership for the 4th wicket with ALLAN CASH (#150). Earlier in the innings, ALAN GRAY (#26) and ALLAN COX (#160) had added 111 for the 1st wicket.
