In 1960, B grade gave St Peters a thumping in the semis, winning by more than a hundred. St Peters made early inroads but Laurie Blake and Bruce McClenaghan managed to steer Waratahs to relatively safe waters. Max Nixon made his eighth duck of the season, equalling the record of John Dickson from three seasons earlier. Playing without their star new ball bowler, Col Marshall, Waratahs three key all rounders - Bob Brennan, skipper John McIntyre (pictured) and Blake - proved to be more than enough for St Peters who soon slumped to 6-27, Brennan taking four of them. Waratahs would play the Final on the following Saturday, their 24th game of a long season of one day games.
