Stags to Watch: Vivaan Gandhi at Gordon DCC

Viv Gandhi is an emerging right-handed batter and spin bowler in Australian pathway cricket who progressed through elite Sydney schoolboy competitions and NSW underage representative ranks to earn a Men's First Grade cap for the Gordon District Cricket Club.

Gandhi established himself early on as a standout junior talent in Sydney's Premier Cricket pathway. Named the NSW U13 Player of the Year and awarded the NSW Youth Championships U13 Batsman of the Year after leading the competition in runs. He has been consistently selected for Cricket NSW (CNSW) Metropolitan and State Challenge squads across the U14, U17, and U19 representative levels.

Playing for The King's School, Gandhi became a key fixture in schoolboy and youth tournaments. He produced a flagship performance by scoring 191 runs off 127 balls (including 21 fours) against Hutt Cricket Academy, powering his side to a 231-run victory.

Gandhi progressed through Gordon's pathways into the senior ranks. He was selected as a multi-year player in the AW Green Shield competition, eventually being named Team Captain for the 2024–25 season. He rapidly transitioned into senior grade cricket, contributing with both bat and ball in lower and middle grades (including 3-wicket hauls in Third Grade). Gandhi capped off his junior-to-senior transition by earning his official Men's First Grade Cap for Gordon (#629) last season.
