Vale Adrian Herbert Butler

The club is very saddened to hear the news of the passing of Adrian Butler (1941-2026).

Adrian was a proud supporter, a community leader and a great friend to many of us at the club.

He leaves a tremendous legacy to Frankston and the surrounding areas, after commencing with the former Shire of Frankston and Hastings in 1957, he became Town Clerk in 1975, before serving as Frankston Council CEO from 1985 to 1994.

During his period as CEO, Adrian played an important role during our 5 years lobbying CV for entry, providing advocacy and guidance for Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club. His instrumental efforts assisted in the club being admitted into Victorian Premier Cricket in 1993. Our main oval at Jubilee Park is named in his honour in recognition of these works.

FPCC extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to Sally and our past player Mark, and to Adrian’s extended family and friends at this sad time. He will be missed by us all.

RIP Adrian
