Vale Trevor Dowle

It is my sad duty to inform of the passing of Trevor Dowle who died on Tuesday 6 October 2026. Trevor played with Petersham-Marrickville in the late 1980s. He was a pace bowler and handy middle-order batter in 3rd Grade, although he played some games in 2nd Grade in 1989-90. He excelled with the bat in 1988-89 when he and Gary Stride put on 164 for the 7th wicket in 3rd Grade against Hawkesbury, with Trevor making his highest score of 72.  It was a club record and the highest partnership score for any wicket recorded for Petersham-Marrickville in 3rd Grade. It was never broken. Trevor passed away a day before his 62nd birthday.
